China National Electric Engineering Co (CNEEC), affiliated to Sinomach, worked with its subsidiary China Electric Design and Research Institute Co on Dec 28 to sign an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project of a big data industrial park in the National Xinjiang Zhundong Economic-Technological Development Park in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
The project is aimed at solving the local excessive power problem and accelerating upgrading of region’s economic structure. With the help of the government of Xinjiang Changji Hui autonomous prefecture and relevant departments, it is expected to be a key new infrastructure project in the region.

The other good news in the big data sector came on Dec 31. CNEEC signed an EPC contract for an MBI IDC Phase I Project via video links to help build a data center in Myanmar. As CNEEC’s first overseas data center project, it is also a successful attempt to seek differentiated development in key country markets.
The two projects result from CNEEC’s efforts to integrate into the “dual circulation” development pattern, which takes domestic circulation as the mainstay with domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other. As such they have laid the foundation for further expansion of the domestic market and development of high-quality infrastructure to serve the future.
