The Electricite du Cambodge (EDC), a state-run electric power company in Cambodia, recently presented a certificate of commendation to China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC), an affiliate of Sinomach, for its outstanding contributions to the Transmission Line 230KV Project Phase Ⅱ (part of the loop line in the eastern Part 1 of the Cambodian national grid).
Construction on the loop line started in March 2018, and includes two 50-megawatt substations, one expanded booster station and a 275-kilometer 230 kilovolts double-circuit transmission line covering four provinces in northeastern Cambodia. The loop line has been put into full service.

As an important part of Cambodia’s national power grid, the project has greatly alleviated the power shortages for local residents, facilitated production and living and bolstered regional economic development.
